Staff And Credentials

Mr. Harrell graduated from law school with high honors, and was recognized by the Florida Supreme Court for the highest score on the Florida Bar Exam. Prior to entering private law practice, he served as a legislative aide in the Florida House of Representatives and as an Air Force attorney. Having been in private practice for more than 30 years, he has specialized in adoptions for the past 24 years. He is a director and officer for the Florida Adoption Council, and president of the Florida Association of Adoption Lawyers. He is also a member of the invitation-only American Academy of Adoption Attorneys, a national organization of 300 lawyers who practice, or have otherwise distinguished themselves, in the field of adoption law. He is married and has two children, one of whom is adopted.
Alice Murray has been an attorney for 25 years, and has practiced law in Florida since 1989. She has been employed by the Adoption Center for 20 years, during which time she has accumulated extensive adoption experience. Mrs. Murray was previously Board Certified in Appellate Practice for ten years. She is a member of the Board of Directors for the Florida Adoption Council and is also a member of the Florida Association of Adoption Lawyers. Married with four children, she especially enjoys working one-on-one with each of our birth mothers.
Sallie Norris has been in private practice for 16 years, and has worked with Mr. Harrell for six of those years. Prior to obtaining her law degree, she earned a bachelor’s degree in social work. She is the mother of two.

Amy Folk is the director of our adoption paralegal department. Having worked with Mr. Harrell for more than seven years, she has extensive experience in all types of adoptions, including step-parent, grandparent, relative, foreign, and adult adoptions. She is the mother of three.
